It’s my first pregnancy, and I am quite a nervous person. I’ve noticed that I am bleeding a little and am wondering if this is normal, should I get it checked out?

I don’t think you should worry at all, but even giving your doctor a call will put your mind at ease. It’s probably just your hormones, they may not have adjusted, particularly if it’s around the time your period would normally be due.
Some spotting or bleeding can happen in the first 12 weeks and this is considered normal, as the embryo attaches to the walls of the uterus. If you’re worried, get it checked.
I had some bleeding in my first trimester and I was told that it was nothing to worry about. It’s simply the changes in the cervix, but I’d ask your doctor as everyone is different.
Is there a lot of blood, or just a little? It’s quite normal to have pink or red blood coming out of the vagina in the early days of your pregnancy, but if you feel something is wrong, go to A&E.
