How early can I take a pregnancy test after I have had intercourse whilst ovulating? I’m keen to know whether I am or am not pregnant!

It’s a bit of a waiting game at first. You can take all the tests you want, but you need to let the HCG show up in your body, which can take some time, so if it’s a normal urine test at home, I wouldn’t take it until about 3 weeks after ovulating.

Well, you can check as early as you like, but you may not find anything out for sure until around a month after. Some home tests say 21 days, so I’d stick with that, plus or minus 3 days either side.

It depends what kind of test you’re taking. A blood test can show if you’re pregnant about a week to ten days after you have conceived, so if you’re going that route, then it’s quicker. A home test – probably wait for around 21 days from ovulation to check.

There’s no point in doing a home test until you have missed your period, then it’s a double check if anything.
