I took a pregnancy test a week ago and it came back with a super faint positive. Today I picked one up from my local dollar store, but the expiration date is way passed. When do pregnancy tests stop working?

Usually they expire within 2-3 years of their manufacturing date. They have a chemical in them that reacts to HCG and shows when your pregnant. As soon as they’re expired, that chemical starts to decompose and the test may not be accurate.
Just visit your doctor for confirmation. The tests can go bad and give false readings if they’ve been stored in extreme temperatures or go past their expiration date. The doctor is the only sure thing.
